Einstein
Voice Assistant

The first new product: Einstein Voice Assistant, which allows conversational updates to Salesforce and puts them to work with AI.

Einstein Voice complements an emerging set of capabilities: Einstein Analytics for forecasting, Einstein Opportunity for scoring leads, and Einstein Prediction Builder, in beta, for crafting - an intelligent rules engine that suggests strategy through next-best action. Conversational AI makes conversations between humans and computers seamless. All of these tools are designed to make life easier for busy salespeople.

Users can conversationally enter information about a meeting, get daily briefings about key information on your day's meetings (particularly nice for salespeople ) and interact with Salesforce data dashboards by asking questions instead of typing queries.

Einstein Voice Assistant can also be configured to understand slang or professional words that is unique to a particular company.

Voice Bots

The second product: Salesforce announced that customers can build their own voice bots on the Einstein Bot Platform. A company can launch a customer service bot, for example, which customers can interact with through their Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.

Einstein Voice Bots enables the customers of Salesforce to build their own voice-activated assistant, brand it for their company, and engage the end-customer on any smart speaker.

This means that a customer can ask routine questions through their smart speaker, and then Salesforce will source the appropriate response from the company's Salesforce profile.


Einstein's processing capabilities allow Voice to do things like learn the unique vocabularies of customers and extract from spoken queries the names of relevant people and companies.

Einstein "thinks" about how actions impact your business, and also what you need to do next.


Einstein Voice Assistant can create tasks and understand terms like "next month" to make sure Salesforce reminds you at the appropriate time.

As you verbally dictate your sentences, Einstein Voice transcribes this stream to allow our natural language understanding models to classify what types of updates you need to make to the various fields in Salesforce. It then extracts and normalizes the inputs to match the required field formats, like the close date and deal amount for a given opportunity.
You Talk, AI Listens


One fine day you have a necessary and useful meeting with a customer on the road and want to log your updates into Salesforce, but you have to run to another meeting. You will be able to use Einstein Voice to verbally log the update through the Salesforce mobile app. Good news! You don't need to send a text or email to your team or enter your activity notes when you get back to your office. Because Einstein Voice will intelligently find the relevant records and automatically updates fields with the latest information, creates follow-up tasks, and notifies teammates.

Users can update Salesforce with information while it's still fresh in their minds. This new Salesforce feature gives Salesforce users gift of gab. Einstein Voice is an interesting game changer. This is a great and effective tool for Sales Managers who spend their day in the car, that will be armed with real-time insights.Instead of typing on a smartphone, users simply touch Meeting Debrief in the Einstein Voice mobile tool and start talking to enter their notes.
Salesforce have also used Voice to update Einstein Bots, voice enabling the chatbot builder released earlier in the year.


Einstein Voice Assistant will be in open pilot in October, and Einstein Voice Bots will be released in June 2019.
