Challenges

The existing CRM system was migrated over to Salesforce, which caused several issues.
The previous code was built "patch on patch" leading to constant system breakdowns, slow work, and mistakes. And when it comes to financial operations, stability and system security are the most important requirements.

  • All the data and business processes had to be migrated over to Salesforce, ensuring stable processes for better operational efficiency
  • Create and support complicated processes that need to be calculated with absolute precision

Solution

Twistellar has worked on several projects to maintain the Salesforce CRM. The team had to analyze the existing code, and completely rebuild the system's core capability in order to improve its efficiency and accuracy.

    There's a common prejudice that you can't use Salesforce as a financial component of IT infrastructure, without the need to buy expensive add-ons, because you can't achieve the accuracy and traceability of typical accounting software.

    However, it's not the first time when we managed to amend the existing CRM implementation with custom logic components that validate the flows and provide the necessary stability and trust. Having established the reliable core functionality, we opened the road to further improvements and innovations for customer facing flows, and we're proud to be on this road together with Triple Point

Scope and Process

The initial project stage was dedicated to business analysis, ensuring the system can be rebuilt without gaps for its scalability. We always recommend taking an iterative approach to projects. This allows teams to roll out quicker and ease the onboarding to new processes for users.
That's why the team started working with small projects, doing maintenance, and then expanding into larger ones.
There are about 4-6 people who interact with the client. Maria (Lead Project Manager) is in touch daily, but upper management as well as developers have some direct interaction too. All the work is translated at Jira, which is quite effective and helps to be transparent and open in communication.

Results

With previous agencies, our client had a lot of temporary fixes. Our team, however, explains why things break, and that helps the problem not reoccur. Much of the work we've done enables the client to automate rather than rely on human effort.
As a result, we figured out and fixed broken automation processes. We built a customer-facing portal, and are currently building a new one for the client.
The new clean and optimized system led to:
